Outlines for the books of the Old Testament

sample_outlineIn preparation for a mission trip to Mexico, I have just completed graphical outlines of all of the books of the Old Testament. Feel free to download them here in full color or in black and white.

Each outline features the major divisions of the book, plus the period of Old Testament history in which it occurs. Go here for a quick review of those periods.

Some of these outlines are original, some are adapted, and some are from one of three sources I used:

David Dorsey. The Literary Structure of the Old Testament. (Grand Rapids, Mich.: Baker, 1999).

R. K. Harrison. Introduction to the Old Testament. (Grand Rapids, Mich.: Eerdmans, 1969).

Harold Lindsell. Harper Study Bible. (Grand Rapids, Mich.: Zondervan, 1965).

Steve has been a Bible teacher for over 30 years. He has written many articles, more than 20 e-books, and several study guides, most recently, Overcoming: Guide to Understanding the Book of Revelation. His website, DeeperStudy.com, encourages all people to go deeper in their understanding of the Word of God, the Bible, and to become authentic, New Testament Christians who serve a risen Lord.
