Neil R. Lightfoot (1929 – 2012)

Neil Lightfoot was a professor of New Testament at Abilene Christian University in Abilene, Texas. He taught upper level textual classes and specialized in the gospels. He was a member of South 11th and Willis Church of Christ in Abilene where he had served as an elder and minister.

Lightfoot graduated from Baylor University with a bachelor's degree in 1952. He earned his master's degree from Baylor University in 1955. He received his PhD in New Testament studies from Duke University in 1958. He authored numerous articles and publications.
