High above the rest of the site stands the ancient acropolis, accessible by a stepped path up the cliff northeast of the theater. The area is partially surrounded by outer Byzantine and inner Lycian walls. At the southeastern end are remnants of a few buildings, including the foundations of what appears to be a Roman temple.
