Aegean lands of the Bible

In the 1st century C.E., the Aegean Sea was a thoroughly Greek sea, since for hundreds of years the Greeks had colonized Macedonia, nearly all of the inhabitable islands, and the western coast of Asia Minor (now Turkey).
